Larry Quick

Larry is a futurist, analyst & strategist with 35 years of international experience.
His approach is unique in that the methodology he applies is based on complex systems theory in practice, and whole sight - a breakthrough in viewing the future. These are critical capabilities for exploring and discovering the future as change is now exponential, convergent, dynamic, interdependent, and revealing complexities that strategists and planners must understand to be successful.
Larry is the originating author of Strategy in Action (SiA), a strategic framework designed for 21st-century conditions and, in particular, understanding and leveraging disruption.
With co-author David Platt, he wrote 'Disrupted: Strategy for Exponential Change', which describes the Strategy in Action framework in detail for practical application for organizations. 'Disrupted' has been translated into Mandarin.
Larry has worked extensively in Australia and the USA with commercial, government and NFPs.
His research focus at the moment is on Industry Futures, The Future of Work & Beyond, Tertiary Learning Futures, and Planet Reliability.
Larry has 'hands-on experience in many areas - corporate strategy, civic strategy, marketing, business planning, risk management, economic development, environmental management, community development, urban planning & government policy - in all sectors of business, industry, government & communities.
He is also a cancer survivor and committed to squeezing every ounce out of life that this great world can bring.
David Platt

David is a co-founder of Resilient Futures he is an experienced facilitator, analyst, strategist, and speaker with over 20 years of experience in working with organisations and their leaders to reshape the mindset, skill-set and strategic focus that is required to pursue opportunity and manage risk in fast-moving, disruptive environments. David is passionate about building strategic leadership capability and preparing current and future leaders to address global grand challenges.
One of David’s skills lies in bringing the Strategy in Action (SiA) framework and tools to life through engaging presentations, workshops and programs–all of which enable people to understand and practically apply Strategy in Action, the new, global standard for strategy and planning. David has helped to cement Resilient Futures as an organisation that is on the leading edge of the thinking and practice that is critical for sustainable value generation in the 21st century.
He has worked with a range of organisations and communities in Australia and the United States and has significant experience in the areas of corporate strategy, organizational transformation, education and training, learning and development, social enterprise, community development and resilience. He has worked extensively in the United States and Australia.
David’s recent speaking engagements include the National Future Work Summit, Regional Future Work Summit, Workplace Strategy Summit, Digital AI Summit, CSR Way National Conference, NAB Leadership Matters National Conference and Best Practice Network National Summit.
David is also a published author having co-authored Disrupted: Strategy for Exponential Change.
