Understanding how the Future of Work will change, and how our livelihoods will be impacted, is not a new question. It has been a subject of discussion from one generation to the next, society has seen this question arise time and again as it has dealt with progress and new technologies, from the advent of the printing press to the modern day. It is also a topic that Resilient Futures has been involved in for over 10 years, having hosted Future of Work Symposiums, talks, facilitations with individuals and many organisations.

Our resident Futurist, Strategist & Co Founder of Resilient Futures, and the originator of Strategy in Action, Larry Quick has written in his new book  Owning Your Future Work, due for publication next year on this exact topic.

The difference is that changes are today happening FASTER than EVER: prompted by the disruption of the pandemic, geopolitical conditions, shortages of labour, coupled with the ever-decreasing cost of technology. This means the advent of our future work being disrupted by automation and the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) impacting routine-based work, is no longer part of a dystopian fable:  but our new emerging reality.

To chart a dynamic yet robust strategy: organisations and individuals need to respond NOW at a time when AI is exponentially accelerating change:  more than any other point in history. This new program focussing on this question is applicable to EVERY business, and we need to make some urgent, timely and important decisions for OUR own future and that of our organisations.

The Working Futures Pathway provides a step-by-step guide for organisational leaders and learning & development professionals responsible for guiding & developing their workforce for assisting in:

    1. Deciding: Create your future or have the future created for you?
